Board Meeting: September 20th at 6:00 PM

We know how concerning the recent algae issues and Labor Day fish kill in our pond have been to everyone in the neighborhood. The HFLA board is actively working on a solution and has consulted with multiple environmental and aquatic experts. Please join u this Monday at 6:00 PM at the Community Center, where Whitfield County Agricultural Extension Agent Shane Kornberg will discuss what contributed to these issues and how we can resolve them together.

2026 Annual Meeting: November 10, 2026

The by-laws state that the annual meeting shall be held on the second Tuesday of November which is November 10. More information will be sent. The nominating committee consisting of Julie Conrad, Hallie Sterrett, and Andy Turner is seeking nominations for two Board of Director positions. Jennifer Howard and Leatha Whitfield will be rolling off of the board this year. Please contact Julie, Hallie, or Andy if you would like to be nominated or would like to nominate someone.

Pool closes September 27th!

Saturday and Sunday, September 26th and 27th, will be the last days that the pool will be open this year. Take advantage of the last few days of pool enjoyment. The patio can now be reserved via the HFLA website.

New Board Members

Toshi Yoshitake and Heath Loftin have been selected by the board to fill the vacated director positions through November of 2027. Heath will fill the vice-president and pool liaison roll, and Toshi will fill the grounds liaison roll until such time as new board members are elected at the annual meeting in November. Thank you Toshi and Heath for volunteering your time and energy! The Board of Director positions are ones of service to the community.
